Who controls Vexoris
Vexoris is operated from California, United States. Questions about privacy, access, or deletion can be sent to hello@vexoris.app.
Information we collect
- Account information such as username, email address, password credentials handled through authentication providers, city, optional phone number, and optional profile photo.
- Your daily answer, optional answer text, answer timing, and answer visibility state needed to operate the answer-first discussion model.
- Friend relationship records, outgoing and incoming requests, contact-match results, and circle activity such as presence and daily pings.
- Circle-room records and message metadata. Where message content is protected through end-to-end encryption, the service stores encrypted payloads rather than readable plaintext.
- Operational, device, security, and diagnostics information needed to authenticate users, keep the app working, and investigate abuse or bugs.
How we use information
- Create, authenticate, and secure accounts.
- Deliver the current daily question and maintain the answer-first access flow.
- Show which friends have answered, when the shared room is open, and whether a circle streak is active.
- Support contact matching and exact search by username, email, or phone number.
- Maintain service reliability, investigate bugs, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect users, the public, and the service.
Contacts and friend discovery
Contacts are strictly optional. If you grant access, Vexoris reads contact identifiers such as email addresses and phone numbers to look for existing accounts tied to people you already know. Contacts are not uploaded for advertising, sold, or messaged automatically.
You can also search manually by exact username, email, or phone number from inside the app.
Daily answers and chat
Vexoris is built around one question per day. The service uses your answer state to determine when your friends' answers and the shared room become visible to you. This means answer visibility, friend visibility, and room access are all part of the service logic and are processed so the product can work.
Discussion resets when the next question cycle begins. Some supporting records, operational logs, and backup material may remain longer where needed for reliability, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or legal compliance.
Message security
Circle-room messages are protected in transit with standard network encryption and stored in Vexoris systems behind authenticated access controls. They are not end-to-end encrypted or stored as unreadable client-side encrypted payloads.
No security system is perfect. You remain responsible for your own device security, passcode protection, and account access.
Third-party services
Vexoris uses Google Firebase for authentication, database storage, cloud functions, hosting, and operational support. Vexoris also uses OpenAI to assist with daily question generation and editorial drafting. User chat content is not used as input for question generation.
Legal disclosures and safety
We may preserve, use, and disclose information we hold when we believe it is necessary or appropriate to comply with law, regulation, court order, subpoena, legal process, or a valid government or law-enforcement request, or to protect users, the public, rights, property, or the service itself.
Because circle-room messages are not end-to-end encrypted, disclosures are limited to the records and metadata we actually possess and are legally allowed to provide.
Retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to operate Vexoris, protect the service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You can request account deletion through the app or by contacting hello@vexoris.app.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, deletion, or correction. You may also choose not to grant contacts access. Privacy requests can be sent to hello@vexoris.app.
Age requirement
Vexoris is currently intended only for adults age 18 and older. If we learn an underage account was created, we may remove it.
